The ‘Van Eesteren Museum’ gets a new pavilion!

Amsterdam

The Van Eesteren Museum is moving to a new pavilion at the Sloterplas. A beautiful design by Korteknie Stuhlmacher Architects. We are supporting this initiative by giving advice on their new lighting design that should be funded with funds and crowd funding.

From Sunday 23 July to Friday 13 October 2017 the Van Eesteren Museum has been closed due to relocation.

In these three months, the Museum moves from the old location; Burgemeester De Vlugtlaan to the newly built Van Eesteren Pavilion on the north bank of the Sloterplas.

The Van Eesterenmuseum will introduce you to the cultural heritage of urban architect Cornelis van Eesteren. His work is one of the highlights of post-war urbanism and architecture in Amsterdam. In Nieuw-West, Buitenveldert and in parts of Amsterdam-Noord, the special spatial design, designed by Van Eesteren, is still palpable.
