Sierk started his career as a musician playing in bands before training as a sound engineer and working for sound studios, theatres and several musicals.
In the nineties, Sierk started investigating the then emerging techniques of show control. He spent many years working on projects all over the world and developing system integration and design.
Finally, after designing and producing entertainment control systems for a Belgian company called Avenger, he and Rutger van Dijk founded a company called Ground Zero. This company later merged with DLA (Dutch Lighting Designers Association) to form Rapenburg Plaza, where Sierk was in charge of show control and the System Design Department.
Nowadays Sierk is Technical Director/Partner at Rapenburg Plaza and is also busy working on the improvement and on-going process of his self-designed Kiss Box, a show control concept.
